Symphonic Stories debut at Benaroya Hall

- 4/6/12: Attended The Sound of Silents performance last night, where the Seattle Jazz Composers Ensemble performed my score to the classic “Voyage dans la Lune”. It sounded amazing, and we’re planning to make a studio recording of the score soon.
- 4/2/12: Working on music and sound for Faerie Solitaire II, the sequel to the Subsoap game Faeire Solitaire. It’s got a very different feel than the first game, and I’m excited to report that there will be a Collector’s edition of the game with downloadable versions of both Faerie Solitaire soundtracks.
- 3/18/12: Symphonic Stories (above) was complete and utter success! Benaroya Hall was nearly full—unheard of for a concert featuring lesser-known composers, and I had many total strangers approach me afterwards telling me how moved and inspired they were by my piece. Stay tuned—we should have a recording very soon!
- 3/5/12: Just had our first rehearsal for the Symphonic Stories concert. The orchestra sounds amazing! It’s an incredible feeling to have 50 outstanding musicians playing something you wrote....
- 2/11/12: I was asked to write a score for the famed George Méliès silent film Le Voyage dans la Lune for a live performance co-sponsored by SIFF and the Moisture Festival. Very excited to interpret this classic film!
